LA RESTANZA & ENDLESS PEAKS: A MEETING WITH FRANCESCO TOMé

With the documentary "La Restanza: Mountain Stories between Tuscany and Emilia," he filled theaters at every screening before "disappearing" for two months to pursue his great dream: "Endless Peaks," a 2,500 km (1,500 mi) run and hike across the entire Alpine range, with a 165,000 m (550,000 ft) elevation gain from Vrata (Croatia) to Colle di Cadibona (Switzerland-Italy), a 60-day journey that will be turned into a documentary supported by the Italian Alpine Club (CAI). Upon his return, he will be at the Adventure Outdoor Fest for this special meeting! In addition to telling us about his latest incredible adventure, Francesco will introduce the screening of "La Restanza": a journey into the highlands between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, where some choose to stay or move, defying abandonment for the love of the mountains. Between slow pace, agricultural work, and the lack of services, the Restanza becomes an act of silent and radical resistance. A raw and unfiltered story that gives voice to those who have chosen life at altitude as a common good to be protected.
