The abandonment of small villages in remote areas is a phenomenon that has characterized the settlement and demographic trend from the Second World War onwards. The current context, however, characterized by unprecedented environmental and social challenges, together with the rise of new technologies and a different demand for quality of life, offers new generations unprecedented opportunities to return to living in the mountains.
The objective of the meeting is to share thoughts and practices of territorial regeneration capable of encouraging the creation of sustainable mountain communities and at the same time guaranteeing the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage.
During the discussion, the socio-economic and environmental potential of our mountains will be told through different points of view.
