The Night of the Speaking Forests is an invitation to return to being part of the community of the 'Standing People', becoming one with the forest, and feeling the intimate communion that binds us to each other. It is a small, slow walk, rediscovering the beauty of being present, tuning in, and noticing the life that inhabits a forest by day and night. Most importantly, it is a search for harmonies, perception, and the restoration of natural beauty through poetry and stories. As Chandra Candiani writes,
In the forest, you are called and lose your name, you are very bare in every season, yet you dance and whistle, you are a bit bird and dragonfly, but also leaf and flowing water. You come out new, new, but no one notices except for an unlivable smile.
