SLACKLINE SCHOOL IN THE PARK
In the Monteoliveto park in Pistoia, in the months of April, May and June, slackline courses will be held for children aged 6 and up, teens and adults.
The workshops, scheduled every Wednesday at 5 pm and at 6 pm, will be led by the professional athlete Federico Aricò of Slackline Toscana asd.
WHAT IS THE SLACKLINE
The term "Slackline" means a tape of synthetic fabric stretched between two points, such as trees or supports that allow anchoring.
By practicing this discipline, he can walk along the suspended sling, do jumps and acrobatics, or maintain postures without losing balance.
BENEFITS OF SLACKLINE
Slacklining is a great proprioceptive training exercise (focused on body control). It increases the awareness of the body and also improves the perception of oneself. Physical wellbeing leads to mental wellbeing. Concentrating on one's own balance creates a sense of inner peace and harmony, with others and with the surrounding environment.
In addition to improving balance, practicing this physical activity gives elasticity and harmoniously develops the muscles of the whole body (arms, legs and abdominals), strengthens the joints of the knees and ankles, strengthens the back and has a positive effect on the posture.
The practice of slacklining also favors meditation and correct breathing, allowing those who practice it to enter a state of mental flow in which the level of concentration is very high.
