From the peaks of the Alps to adventures at the ends of the earth
Guests, adventures, and stories at the Adventure Outdoor Fest 2025
Adventure Outdoor Fest, the annual flagship event for outdoor sports, nature, wellness, and mountain culture lovers, returns in summer 2025 for its 12th edition. This year, the festival spreads across three different weekends from June to September, all within the beautiful territory of San Marcello Piteglio (Pistoia), in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains.
Thanks to the support of the Tuscany Region, Province of Pistoia, and Fondazione Caript, the festival will feature a rich and inclusive program designed for athletes, families, children, and all those seeking adventure and inspiration.
Adventure Outdoor Fest has always been defined by its philosophy of connection with nature, environmental sustainability, and responsible adventure. The organizers are committed to promoting sustainable tourism, selecting activities and programs that respect the environment and raising awareness of the need to protect natural areas. Every experience aims to rekindle the deep bond between humans and nature, encouraging participants to regenerate outdoors and discover the mountains in an active and mindful way.
Three Events from June to September 2025
The 2025 edition kicks off with a special preview weekend to explore the villages and forests of San Marcello Piteglio.
On Saturday, June 21, join a gentle panoramic hike above Popiglio, walking slowly and mindfully through woods, ancient towers, and breathtaking views, until reaching the Ponte di Castruccio, a medieval stone bridge nestled in greenery.
Also on Saturday, trail runners can take part in a free training run with the Feel Like Unicorn team to “discover” the 2025 Segnavie Run. The 10 km run will follow the start and finish of the official race course taking place in September. Meeting point: the Ponte Sospeso, a perfect spot to share a love for mountain running and explore scenic and technical sections of the Pistoia Mountains.
On Sunday evening, June 22, the festival will host Matteo Della Bordella, one of the most iconic Italian alpinists and explorers of our time. Through words and images, he will share his awe-inspiring experiences on expeditions “to the edges of the world,” from the icy landscapes of Greenland to the legendary walls of Patagonia, inspiring the audience with a true spirit of adventure.
This opening weekend offers an unmissable opportunity to discover the area and get ready for a summer full of adventures.
The main event unfolds in early July with three full days of outdoor activities and performances at Casetta de’ Pulledrari, located at 1,220 meters above sea level within the magnificent Teso Forest.
In this unique setting, nature, adventure, and wellness come together in an immersive experience. Attendees can camp under ancient beech trees and enjoy a variety of activities including panoramic treks, Appennine trail running, open-air yoga sessions, meditation, forest bathing, sound baths, and slacklining between trees.
Holistic workshops and activities for children will also be available.
Evenings will feature a festive atmosphere in the festival village, with live concerts, story circles around the fire, and talks with special guests sharing their unique journeys.
The highlight of this weekend is the Forest Family Run on Sunday, July 6: a non-competitive 5 km trail suitable for all ages, winding through the lush forest paths.
This fun and family-friendly event also supports a good cause: all registration fees will go towards the “Solidarity Scholarship” project promoted by Amaltea APS.
The festival’s final chapter takes place at the foot of the iconic Suspended Bridge of Mammiano Basso, a symbol of the Pistoia Mountains. From Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14, the Parco del Laghetto del Ponte Sospeso will host the festival village, filled with outdoor activities, adventures, and talks for all ages.
Expect scenic hikes, environmental workshops, and relaxing nature experiences.
The main event is the third edition of the Segnavie Run, a stunning trail race with 10 km and 25 km routes winding through the mountain trails.
Trail runners from across Italy will compete in a thrilling race through spectacular natural landscapes, offering a great show for the public.
Alongside the race, the village will feature informational stands, kids’ play areas, and local food stalls.
Celebratory moments will include award ceremonies, live music, and opportunities to try outdoor sports with professional instructors.
It will be the perfect farewell to summer, inviting everyone to embrace the mountains with respect and passion.
